OUR STORY

As a South Asian British-born woman from London, I found it challenging to shop for and juggle my different outfit choices for the best part of my life.

I had clothes for work, separate cute outfits to go out with my friends, as well as a whole collection of modest South Asian garments for family time including events like weddings and Eid. Having a ‘capsule wardrobe’ was literally impossible for women like me.

The world is becoming increasingly diverse and people of many religions, languages, economic and cultural groups are co-habilitating - especially in the UK. 

This affects everything that we do, who we are friends with, what we eat, right down to the way that we dress all to accommodate these different social settings.

Overtime, after speaking to a lot of women with shared experiences, I realised just how much we all repeatedly struggled with the same issues: 

• Buying different outfits for different types of occasions is super costly because we can only wear them once or twice and they are not suitable for events in other aspects of our lives

• Storing these different 'collections' of clothes in our limited wardrobe spaces is an absolute daunting task

• Modest and sophisticated styles of clothing that are both flattering yet stylish for the modern-day woman are very rare to come by

As a result, we have sourced garments that are easily appropriate to suit different rooms. We still capture our South Asian inspiration through beautiful embellishment work, however they have been reimagined and designed intentionally so that they can be styled in numerous ways to suit a diverse range of nationalities and occasions without having to shop separately for each.

MF Studio is designed to supply curated pieces for women to suit a multifaceted wardrobe and lifestyle. All garments are inspired to be timeless, fit well and can be worn modestly.
